I'm halfway through a parenting book, and evidently I do EVERYTHING wrong. Correcting a child is wrong. Co-sleeping is best, not co-sleeping is selfish on the parent's part. Rewards are wrong. Timeouts are wrong. Attempting to get a child to say please or thank you is manipulative. Evidently I'm supposed to respond to any contingency with love and understanding. Maybe that's in the second half of the book.
