Hmmmm. Mayra just started kindergarten last week. Today on the way to dance class, we were talking about school in the car and she said something about hearts for kindness. Evidently, they read some book about kindness and the teachers are doing a project where if they see the children being kind to each other, they get some sort of heart as a reward.
So Mayra says quite happily: "But not ME!"
Me: "You didn't get any hearts?"
answer: "No."
"You OK with that?"
"Yes."
"But what if all the other kids are getting hearts and you don't get any, won't that bother you?"
"No."
Not sure what to make of that. I know she doesn't misbehave in classes, because I have always gotten compliments are how well she listens, and last week two of the teachers told me they can see she is a nice girl.
