Last night I was reading a book, but Mayra wanted to know why I wasn't reading. I told her, well of course I'm reading. She thought I wasn't because I wasn't reading out loud, so I explained you don't always have to read out loud, sometimes you can look and read without talking.
This morning she wanted to take a book in the car, and on the way to school, she announced she was doing special reading, just like me. She could just look at the words and turn the page when she was ready.
