I was seriously not amused with the whole idea because the dog is in between grooming appointments, and to be honest, she is not well trained. We can add that to my Mommy Guilt List, I should have trained the dog better, check.
We attempted to give the dog a bath after work which was not easy with my sore, swollen, cat-bitten hand. Unfortunately I couldn't find doggie shampoo and the human stuff we tried did not leave Baby Fox's coat looking very nice at all. By the time she was dry she didn't smell as bad as before, but she looked idiotic. Too bad I didn't document the ordeal with pictures.
I spoke with Miss Hilary this morning, and it was agreed that I would come back to school with the dog at 10:30 or so. I left work a few minutes early to attempt to brush her a bit. Most of the tangles came out, errr, there was a ton of hair on the brush, oh dear.
By the time we got to school, you couldn't tell she had been brushed at all. Mayra was overjoyed to see the dog, predictably dog peed on the classroom floor but I had brought paper towels and cleaned it up. The kids seemed to like the dog so I suppose things went OK.
After we got back to the office, Mayra got busy with paper, markers, scissors and tape and announced that she was presenting me with a gold ribbon for allowing her to take the dog to school. I was also presented with two love cards, and two hearts.
