Why would she want such a thing?
Because Mrs Portillo on Handy Manny (aka Wilmer V) had one.
Out of the blue on Sunday, Mayra decides she wants to go to the pet store and buy a chameleon. I've never owned a reptile before, and had no idea how complicated their care can be.
Mayra's Uncle Bob and Aunt Connie own some kind of lizards (leopard geckos)so I put in an emergency call to their house, hoping that Connie would confirm that Petco just doesn't have Chameleons. Connie wasn't home, and Bob wasn't sure.
We went to Petco, but darn they didn't have one. I thought I had her talked into a Betta Fish, but on they way home she had a meltdown because she is dead serious about wanting a chameleon.
Evidently, their care requirements are pretty precise, so we will have to study and prepare, but she wants one for her birthday.
Today I did some more research. Evidently they have a pretty voracious appetite for live bugs. Wish they were herbivorous.
