Why is it?

When it comes to parenting, why does my common sense desert me when I need it most?
Anybody with half an ounce of sense would know that school vacation days would be a crazy time to visit Chuck E Cheese, no?
So why did I go tonight?
Because Mayra loves it there, of course.
It was so crowded, and there seemed to be mean people lurking around every corner. Seriously, some of these parents were scary.
Then there were the grown-ups hogging the Chuckie's Sketch Pad machine. I saw two chicks make 6-8 pics of themselves.
The prize counter was too much for me to deal with. I don't know how I did it, but I convinced Mayra we could save her tickets for next time and get a better prize, so we hit the Dollar Store next door instead.
