Insane Rain

We are getting tons of rain. It has been pouring for hours now, and they say it won't stop until tomorrow. Whole area is under flood watch.
Mayra had said she wanted to have a sleepover with Mom last week, but I think she had a riding lesson the next morning, so we agreed Thursday night of this week would be good.
I usually keep extra clothes and jammies at Mom's house, but the drawer seemed to be empty today.
In the afternoon Mayra was saying she still wanted her sleepover, so I had to come to our house after work to get some clothes. Too much traffic heading toward hares Corner, so I gambled on Rt 9, which is risky when it's raining since it tends to flood. I was shocked that there was no standing water below Dobbinsville, but chagrined to be held up by a train near the refinery.
Eventually I got to our house, turned up the heat, and collected the mail, and put together some clothes. UPS man came while I was here, so I got my packages dry for a change.
Try to drive back and it's raining more heavily so I had very unpleasant driving conditions. Mom had asked me to pick up soup at WaWa, but the one closest to my house was out, so I had to try a different one.
As I suspected, Mayra wouldn't do the sleepover without me, and since I would have to sleep on the floor there, I decided we would just come home, which entailed more driving through crap conditions, and flooding at Blackcat.
We're not getting thunder or lightning, but it's a noisy windy rain, so Mayra had trouble getting to sleep.
"School" is closed tomorrow, goody goody.
Her album is done except for the cover. I'm hoping to finish that and get the order placed tomorrow. I'm almost in a state of shock that I finished something.
