Mayra is campaigning quite strongly for a baby sister. Methinks she has a future as a lawyer or a politcian.
Last week I tried the honesty is the best policy routine, telling her I am too old to have a baby, and if we were going to bring a baby sister into the house, we would have to adopt.
Last night we were sitting on the couch, and she leans against my shoulder and says:
"I'm really sorry you can't have a baby. We'll just have to adopt one. We can do it."
Oh boy. I don't know how to work out the finances. I told her she wouldn't be getting all the attention, she wouldn't be getting as many toys, and that we wouldn't be able to buy a pony.
She's not budging. She still wants a baby sister. Not sure if I can make that happen or not.
