I had been seeing some blueish birds on the drive to my parents' new house. Clipping along at 40 ot 50 mph, I couldn't get a good enough look at the to be sure what they were. I've also been seeing blue jays in the area, but these were different.
Friday I was lucky enough to spot one perched on something close to ground level.
Bluebirds. I am nearly 50, and had never seen one before. I'm happy.
