anti-social tendecies...

I was feeling a bit off Saturday night, almost like I was coming down with the flu. I did manage to get some sleep, and got up early enough to have coffee and oatmeal in relative peace and quiet. I was feeling somewhat better, but for whatever reason, I just didn't feel like spending the day at home, answerring the same questions over and over again, or "playing." Espcially, when playing might mean interminable tea parties, or scavenger dinos.
Mayra has hundreds of plastic dinos, and when we play dinosaurs together, we don't play predator dinos, but Mayra will lay one of it's side, and say we get eat this one now, because it's already dead. Egad. So then the other dinos delicately nibble on the dead one.
Anyhoo, once Maya was up, I decided it would be fun to go for a ride in the car, and offered to take her to The Academy of Science, or Please Touch Museum, or Adventure Aquarium.
Adveture "Maquarium" won hands down.
Of course since we would be cooped up in the car for a while, we had to:
Swing by the drive up ATM since I only had $2 to my name.
Stop off at Dunkin Donuts for a muffin.
Aquarium tickets were about $35-$36, parking $8
Horrendous Lunch $18
My inability to say no to the gift shop set me back about $78, true story.
Ice Cream $3 plus tax.
M&M bribe to return to the car, a bargain at $1.5
We had a perfectly nice day, unfortunately, in addition to being expensive, the horrendous lunch gave Mayra tummy trouble, so we're home today.
All of this could have been avoided if I had just done the tea party...
