I took Mayra to Adventure Aquarium on Saturday. It was less crowded than the National Aquarium, so we could walk through all of the exhibits at least twice. Personally, I don't think it's as kid-friendly as the national, but easier to drive to, and the parking is more convenient.
We had a escalator mishap. I seriously do not like these contraptions, but Mayra loves them and is convinced she can get on and off on her own. Saturday, of course, she managed to fall at the top of a fairly long, steep, fast moving conveyor. I grabbed her pretty quick, and we just sat at the top landing until she had a chance to calm down. It also gave other parents a chance to walk by and give me hairy eyeballs for not taking better care of my kid. Thankfully she was scared, but not hurt.
