My parents surprised me with an iPod for my birthday. Mayra can't wait for me to share my "toy." I barely pried it out of her hands the night I opened it. I've been trying to keep it out of sight until our trip to Florida next week, so it will have maximum novelty value on the plane. She saw it in the car this morning, and wanted to know again if I'm going to share my toy with her.
Monday Mayra was confused, and couldn't understand why I wasn't taking her to Sea World Monday after work. I eventually was able to explain that it's fairly far from here, and the tickets are for next week, and pop-Pop is taking us to the airport, and we will ride on an airplane, and then in a taxi, and we're going to stay in a hotel, etc.
Yesterday one of her pre-school friends complimented her on how pretty and nice her hair is, I don't think she quite knew what to say. I think she needs to get used to getting compliments on how pretty she is.
