Water Baby

When Mayra was a baby, I bought her a wading pool, which she got in once or twice, then wanted nothing more to do with it.
last year, Mayra would get in Dad's pool, but only play on the steps, she didn't want to be carried around the shallow end, and wouldn't ride her ducky boat.
This year she is starting to show some interest in learning to swim. She will let Dad guide her around on her kickboard, and rides on Dad's back. She is fascinated by the backstroke, I don't know if it's feasible for her to learn that or not.
Tonight when Dad was swimming across the pool she sat on the steps and clapped and cheered "go Pop Pop."
